Make the lane work for you
A good lane starts with a simple goal: collect experience and gold without taking unnecessary damage. Kills are a bonus, not the plan.
1. Start with the creep wave
Watch which side has more creeps. A larger friendly wave usually pushes forward. Avoid auto-attacking when you want the wave to stay close to your tower.
2. Last-hit with intention
Wait until your attack can secure the creep. Practice in a lobby without an opponent first, then add pressure. Different heroes have different attack animations.
3. Trade around the wave
Attacking an enemy hero near their creeps can draw aggression. Use short trades and move back before you lose more health than you gain.
Put it into practice
In your next match, spend the first five minutes tracking missed last hits. After the game, identify whether timing, positioning, or enemy pressure caused them. Pick just one to improve.
